Downtown New Haven is a thriving center for business, education, food, entertainment, and shopping. Just about anything you are looking to do is in walking distance. Within The Taft you can get your hair done at Karma Salon, check out women’s apparel at Archetype, and conveniently conduct transactions at TD Bank. In addition, coming soon we are ecstatic to be introducing a brand new, exciting restaurant to reside within the old Taft ballroom.

With plenty of public transportation available you will never have to worry about getting from here to there. Buses, taxis, and trains are all readily accessible. New Haven is a bicycle friendly city with a variety of bike repair shops dispersed around the city, including College Street Cycles across the street from The Taft.  If that isn’t enough complementary bike storage is available to the Taft Residents.
