We understand that moving can be a stressful event and always try to help ease as much of that pressure as possible. Below is a checklist of the important numbers to have handy while in the moving process. We have also added some items to keep in mind when you are specifically moving into the Taft Apartments.

Protect yourself. Renter’s insurance is strongly recommended. Most times you can get renter’s insurance through your current car insurance company at a discounted bundled rate.
There is no designated parking for new move-ins. You may want to investigate the option of reserving a meter. Information regarding this can be found at http://www.cityofnewhaven.com/TrafficParking/meterbags.asp. Otherwise, street parking is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Service Elevator reservations are mandatory and can only be made during office hours (Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm and Saturday, 10am-2pm). The Service Elevator can be reserved for a maximum of 1 and ½ hour per day. During all other move-in times, the Service Elevator is on a first come, first serve basis.
Payment of security deposit and first month’s rent is requested at least a week prior to move-in. It is important to remember to set up a move-in inspection with the Management Office to receive keys prior to move-in. It works best to schedule your inspection just prior to your Service Elevator reservation.
