Scott D. Ferguson, Property Manager:

Scott has been working at The Taft since November 1999. His daily tasks include overseeing everything from leasing, rent collection, service requests, maintaining lease files, and training the team. Interacting with residents, whenever possible makes his daily job enjoyable. No two days at The Taft are identical. As for the best compliment that he has received on the job – “I have been told on several occasions, and by several different residents, that if I was not in my job at The Taft, they may have considered moving elsewhere. I do not take that lightly.” In his spare time, Scott enjoys reading, watching baseball, listening to music (especially live concerts), spending time with his family, traveling and reality TV shows.

Kevin J. Meehan, Regional Maintenance Manager:

Kevin has been a part of The Taft team since 2009. However, he officially joined the team as the Regional Maintenance Manager in September 2015. His daily tasks include reviewing work order requests, assigning tasks to the maintenance team, monitoring the progress, as well as ordering supplies, and managing projects. So far, every day has been enjoyable at work for Kevin. He credits that to working with an incredibly talented staff and for a building full of great residents. Additionally, after completing a project he always enjoys seeing the improvements made. The best compliment that he has received is when someone notices the fine details upon a job’s completion, as he is detail-oriented and prides himself on such. In his spare time, Kevin has been a long-time member of the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston and has been working on the restoration of an 1881 railroad station. He is a locomotive engineer and runs freight some weekends. Additionally, he is a Habitat for Humanity volunteer on construction projects as well as collecting items to donate to their Re-Store. Lastly, he is a retired Fire Captain who enjoys photography, working in his wood shop, and of course lives to spend time with his beautiful wife and their spoiled-rotten yellow lab.

Shannette Diaz, Senior Leasing & Service Coordinator:

Shannette has been working at The Taft team since September 2015. Her daily tasks include customer service, leasing apartments, and other administrative tasks – like the monthly market study. An enjoyable day for Shannette involves meeting & interacting with residents – many from different parts of the world. The best compliment that she has received so far is that she has a bubbly and joyful personality, and that she is a pleasure to work with. In her free time, Shannette loves to read, listen to music, and most importantly spend time with her family.
